Terms of Service

1. What the Service Is

awoo.studio provides file hosting, URL shortening, and integrations with third-party platforms (Discord, Twitch, YouTube). The service is available in free and paid tiers, with usage limits (file size and storage quotas) that vary by plan.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the service. By using awoo.studio you confirm that you meet this minimum age requirement. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 16, we will close it.

3. Your Account

You need an account to use the service. You're responsible for keeping your credentials and API tokens secure. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If you want to delete your account, you can do so from your account settings or by contacting us, and we'll remove your data in line with our Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable Use

You may upload and share content, including NSFW material, subject to these restrictions:

• No illegal content (malware, pirated material, CSAM, controlled substances)
• No harassment, threats, doxxing, or hate speech
• No using the service to attack or disrupt other services
• No circumventing usage limits or access controls

We reserve the right to remove content and terminate accounts that violate these rules.

5. Your Content

You own what you upload. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and serve your files as needed to operate the platform (e.g., generating thumbnails, serving downloads). We don't claim ownership of your content and won't sell it.

6. Subscriptions, Billing & Refunds

• Plans: Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly) at the price shown at checkout. Web subscriptions are processed by Stripe; mobile subscriptions are processed by the App Store or Play Store via RevenueCat and are governed by the relevant store's billing terms.
• Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
• Cancellation: You can cancel at any time from your account settings (or, for mobile, through the App Store / Play Store). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep paid features until then.
• Refunds: Payments are non-refundable except where required by law. EU/EEA consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Consumer Rights Directive; by starting to use a paid plan immediately you expressly request that the service begins during the withdrawal period and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully provided. Mobile purchase refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies.
• Downgrades: When you downgrade or cancel, you keep your current plan's features until the end of the paid period. After that, your account reverts to the free tier and its limits apply. If you exceed the free-tier storage or quota, uploads will be blocked until you free up space or upgrade again. We will not delete your existing files solely because of a downgrade, but we may restrict access to features that are not part of your new plan.
• Price changes: We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal. You can cancel before the change takes effect if you don't agree.
• Taxes: Prices are shown excluding VAT unless stated otherwise. Applicable VAT is added at checkout.

7. Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is." We do our best to keep things running but can't guarantee 100% uptime or that your files will never be lost. Back up anything important. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost data, or lost revenue. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Dutch consumer law.

8. Changes & Termination

We may update these terms. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top, and material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept them. Either party can terminate at any time — you by deleting your account, us by giving notice (immediately in case of a serious breach of these terms).

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
